The High School Experience
With a wide variety of clubs, sports, and activities on offer, IVA High students quickly learn there is more to high school than classrooms and course work! IVA High is a place where students make friends, find their passions, explore their options, and have fun.

Clubs @ IVA High
Students are encouraged to custom design their own high school experience. Participation rates in clubs and other activities is much higher at IVA High because students have a say in what clubs, sports and activities are available.
In addition to the clubs we already have, students have the autonomy to create a new club by filling out the Club Request Form and getting started. All clubs and sports at IVA High are supported by an adult sponsor.
The following list is the current clubs that are active at IVA High for 2025-2025 school year. Because we take student interest and motivation into account, clubs can be different from year to year.

Sports @ IVA High
The exciting thing about sports at IVA High is that we are creative, competitive, and open to meeting our students’ interests.
We believe that sports provide a unique opportunity for students to grow in their understanding and application of their intellectual character, combining physical activity with intellectual rigor. We are excited to be able to provide opportunities for students to grow as thinkers, learners, and movers in an athletics setting.
Our athletic program’s mission is to create an environment in which student athletes are challenged to focus on their individual growth as well as value the growth of others in a supportive team environment.
Our Triton Athletic Program provides the following sports teams:

Sport Support:
We rely on volunteer support to help create meaningful opportunities for our student athletes. The following volunteer roles are needed for a sport season to run successfully, and if you are interested in supporting students in these ways, please send an email to info@ivahigh.org.
- Coaching
- Transportation
- Communication
Participation:
- Participation in the athletic program is a privilege for all students involved and it is important that athletes uphold themselves as students before they advance as athletes. When participating as a student-athlete, a minimum grade standard must be maintained during the season. The following grade standards are required for students to participate:
- GPA of at least a 2.0
- No more than one failing (NY) grade in all classes
- In order to provide our Athletic Program year after year, each sport will charge a donation/participation fee.
We Celebrate the 2019-20 Triton Boys Basketball Team!
Our founding Triton Basketball team started off winning no games in their first two years. With the help of Coach Garcia and parent support they were able to practice, keep competing, and 2019-2020 saw them go undefeated and win the McBride Basketball Tournament! The collaboration this team had both on and off the court was something truly special to witness. GO TRITONS!
