We're honored to announce that IVA High has been named a 2026 California Exemplary Dual Enrollment School by California Superintendent Tony Thurmond. We are one of only 6 charter schools in the entire state to receive this recognition! Since our founding in 2016, we have prioritized preparing our students for college, career and life. Dual enrollment has been a way for IVA to make higher education accessible for all of our students. We don't wait for our students to graduate to enroll them in college, we enroll them while they are still in high school. Our CCAP partnership with Long Beach City College @lbcc brings college professors directly onto our campus, offering courses that are fully transferable to CSUs and UCs at no cost to students or families. Our student-centered approach informs the courses we offer to support our students to dive into their passions. This year, 92% of our seniors will graduate with six or more free college credits, and 30% leave with twelve or more transferable credits. These stats represent a true head start on college that builds skills and saves families money on tuition. Consequently, our College Career Indicator (CCI) has risen from 26.3% in 2024 to 50% in 2025 and will continue to grow as we expand CTE pathways and opportunities for all students. This award means a lot to us. A huge thank you to our students, teachers, counselors, and community for making our dual enrollment program something worth celebrating. We've accomplished a lot together in the last 10 years. Onward and upward, IVA High!
