IVA High is a tuition-free public charter school in Long Beach, now accepting applications for grades 9 through 12 for the 2026-27 school year. As a public school, we’re open to all students — there’s no tuition, no entrance exam, and no zip code requirement for enrollment. If your student is curious and ready to grow, there’s a seat for them here. Enrolling takes four simple steps. 

Four Steps to Enroll at IVA High

  1. Apply. Fill out the application online, or stop by campus and we will help you complete it in person.
  2. We follow up. A member of our team will reach out to confirm grade-level availability and let you know which documents to gather.
  3. Turn in your paperwork. Complete the enrollment forms and submit your documents.
  4. You’re enrolled! Once everything is in, your student has a spot at IVA High. Welcome to the community!

Transferring? We make it easy.

IVA High accepts transfer students in grades 9-12 throughout the year, whether your student is switching schools over the summer or mid-year. Our counseling team reviews incoming transcripts to make sure credits transfer smoothly and your student stays on track for graduation, and our small size means new students aren’t left to figure things out alone. Our teachers, counselors, and student ambassadors help them find their footing from day one.

If your student is unhappy where they are, struggling to be seen in a big school, or new to the area, a fresh start doesn’t have to wait.
