IVA High Tours & Shadow Days

Visiting IVA High in person is a great way to get to know us! Whether you’re an 8th grade student looking for your best fit high school, or a student looking to transfer into grades 10, 11 or 12, we would love to show you IVA High.

School Tours – Summer Hours

Taking a school tour will let you observe a classroom, witness how students engage with the curriculum and collaborate with each other, and see how our innovative teachers make thinking visible and facilitate project-based learning.

Tour IVA High this Summer!

A member of our team will be on campus this summer to give you a tour. Drop in between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. to explore the school and get your questions answered.

Student Shadow Days

Shadow Days will resume in September for the 2026-27 school year.

During the school year, we host Shadow days for prospective students, including 8th graders, several times. Your student can shadow current students at IVA High and see what a day here is all about!

There are 10 spots for each shadow day.

Here is an example Shadow Day schedule:

Arrival and Welcome:  10:55 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
Classroom Engagement:  11:20 a.m. – 12:35 p.m.
Lunch Provided & Student Panel Q&A:  12:35 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Reflection:  1:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.

IVA High is a welcoming environment regardless of your zip code. Many of our students currently reside in Long Beach, Orange County and Los Angeles County. Click here for a list of local schools where current or former students transferred from. We also accept students who have moved from another country or state. Apply today!
