You don’t have to figure out your entire future at the age of 14. IVA High’s three pathways let you try different things, follow your curiosity, and change direction as you grow. College, career, or something completely your own—you decide. Where will your curiosity take you?

University Pathway

Earn real college credits through dual enrollment with Long Beach City College while still in high school. From Introduction to Psychology to Public Speaking, you’ll enter university with confidence, credits, and a head start on your degree. The courses you take in this pathway earn you transferable Cal-GETC credits that count toward UC and CSU admission. You start building your college future while you’re still in high school! IVA High college advisors will walk beside you every step of the way, from campus visits to scholarship applications.

Career & Technical Education Pathway 

If you are considering a career or trade path after high school, our CTE pathway can connect your passions to real-world opportunities. Whether you’re drawn to fashion design, horticulture, or public health, you’ll gain hands-on experience through paid internships and industry certifications. Graduate with a diploma and the skills employers seek.

Individualized Pathway

The beauty of our Individualized Pathway is in the opportunity to explore your interests and discover what drives you, while still preparing for the future. You could explore classes in Fire Science, Automotive Technology and Jewelry Making while mixing college credits with career certifications. Some motivated students even graduate with both a high school diploma and an associate degree. Embracing your curiosity and keeping your options open are highly encouraged at IVA High.
