Intellectual Virtues Academy, a non-profit, public charter school, receives money from the State of California and other grants to fund its academic program. However, IVA High’s enrichment programs and personalized counseling, rely on the generosity of the business community, foundations, and individual donors. We also accept creative ideas to contribute to IVA High that may or may not involve financial compensation.

What Does Your Annual Donation Do For The IVA High Community?

Your annual donation allows us to:

  • Maintain small class size

    • 26:1 class size in each grade level – 10+ fewer students than in local schools

  • Maintain our full-time counseling team

    • Counselor ratios in local schools are over 900:1, IVA High is 50:1.
    • Supports college admissions, dual enrollment, mental health support, restorative practices behavior support

  • Technology 1:1

    • Each student has a Google Chromebook and charger for the school year
    • We maintain & support updated technology for teachers

  • Beautiful School Environment

    • Maintain clean and bright school campus
    • Classrooms are updated with comfortable new furniture
    • Clean backyard with sports equipment

  • Professional Development

    • Innovative and ongoing for teachers, staff and Advisors

  • Dual Enrollment

    • IVA High covers the cost of all college textbooks and materials to provide FREE college courses to our students
    • We provide a full-time high school teacher within the college course to support our students navigate early college experience

  • Community Partners and Field Trips

    • Students are provided with many opportunities to connect with our community members to bring learning to life
    • We find ways to bridge classroom learning to college, career, and life

There are hundreds of reasons to love IVA High. Your support helps us create a real, lasting impact in the lives of our students. Donors may select the program they would like to support.
